4 eva Is a mighty Long Time
"Yeah my creator gave me the gift to create, and this mind of mine apply to our escape, In an atmosphere that wouldn't hold our weight, If I leave from here, I'll call when I'm safe, Knocking on a door hoping someone answers, Yeah I call that faith..."
Big K.R.I.T. (King Remembered In Time)
starts off his 3rd studio album with these bars and is essentially saying that he is grateful to be able to rap and considers it to be divine even though he's not entirely sure why he has obtained such musical talent. K.R.I.T. is also saying that he will come give back to the city if he is able to succeed because he has very high ambitions and will never forget where he is from.
I think this is a very powerful way to start off the double sided introspective 22 track album because he is being very transparent but at the same time knows he has what it takes he says just that "Niggas talking raising bars, mine amongst the stars, give it time to level out." He takes shots at people flexin that aren't really doing anything on the song confetti, the instrumentation on this song is also truly incredible. On one of my personal favorites with a legendary verse from CeeLo Green, this beat is super smooth and doing no injustice on it K.R.I.T. emphasizes the importance of bringing keeping your day ones close "If you ain't eating with your squad you's a hoe nigga, that's from the heart."
with every song you get a sense of motivation to find clarity and boss up to make things happen.
The second half of the album which is titled Justin Scott, the rappers government name the vibe is more introspective from the instrumentation on the first track alone to Mixed Messages.
On the song Mixed Messages, he battles with glorifying things we shouldn't and living a life of contradictions. He says this perfectly with the lines "
"I love her like none other but don't get attached

Screamin' peace over beats but I grab a strap
I help you make a meal but I got a cap..."

On the song Miss Georgia Fornia K.R.I.T.
I could break down the entire album, but I won't, because I want you to listen and takeaway your own thoughts from the music, I hope whoever reads this will go listen to it because it's absolutely a body of art from top to bottom, I will close with this.
Justin Scott closes out the soulful album with a song called Bury Me in Gold
"All I ever wanted was a gold chain with that gold ring, twinkle twinkle 'cause they gold, man, candy paint with the gold flakes "Stay gold," said Granny as she smile with her gold teeth.
Now at first you would think that he is glorifying possessions of physical wealth, but this song is so much deeper than that. Scott goes into describing gold as something that people think they need, but gold means nothing when what we truly need in all actuality, is love & family.
